Roles and Responsibilities
The Senior Clinical Database Programmer will coordinate and perform activities related to clinical database configuration, maintenance, validation, and associated applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with relevant teams to allocate tasks, establish timelines, monitor progress, and report outstanding issues.
- Supporting the training and mentoring of Clinical Database Programmers in database configuration and SAS programming.
- Helping Data Management staff with database specifications and SAS program requirements.
- Reviewing specifications for project-specific data entry software and edit checks.
- Reviewing validation plans for edit checks and reconciliation checks.
- Developing, testing, and running SAS programs for data validation, reconciliation, listings, and data transfers.

- Running database upload programs and processing error reports.
- Coordinating with third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and implement software changes.
- Liaising with sponsors regarding electronic data transfers to and from the company.
- Supporting the preparation and maintenance of system procedures and documentation.
- Assisting with quality assurance and audit requirements.
