This is all about Analytical Method Development for drug products (small molecules). The role is specifically focused on analytical method development, including development, validation, transfer, impurity profiling and stability indicating method development.

This is ideal for pharmaceutical professionals with hands on experience of analytical instruments and familiarity with international pharmacopeial and regulatory guidelines.

Aurobindo Pharma Analytical Method Development – Job Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be responsible for the following activities in the Formulation AR&D department.

1. Analytical Method Development

  • Develop and optimise analytical methods (including assay, dissolution and related substances) for small molecule drug products.

  • Establish appropriate analytical methods for pharmaceutical formulations.

2. Method Validation and Transfer

  • Carry out analytical method validation and technology transfer.

  • Make sure that your validation and transfer activities are in line with the relevant regulatory guidelines (ICH, USP and EP).

3. Impurity Profiling and Stability Studies

  • Perform impurity profiling and degradation studies.

  • Develop stability-indicating analytical methods.

  • Support the analytical work on stability studies.

4. Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare the analytical method development reports.

  • Prepare equivalency reports and Standard Test Procedures (STPs).

  • Maintain appropriate analytical documentation.

5. Analytical Troubleshooting

  • Investigate and resolve any analytical problems encountered in routine and stability studies.

  • Support the resolution of the analytical issues.

6. Regulatory and Quality Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Follow internal quality specifications and relevant analytical guidelines.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Candidates applying for the Aurobindo Pharma Analytical Method Development positions must have the following educational and experience profile.

Educational Qualifications

  • M.Pharm

  • M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry

  • M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Analysis

Experience Required

  • 3 to 8 years’ relevant experience in Analytical Research & Development.

  • Experience in the development of analytical methods for pharmaceutical formulations.

  • Practical exposure to analytical method validation and transfer.

Required Technical Skills

Candidates should possess hands-on experience and knowledge of the following:

  • HPLC

  • UPLC

  • Gas Chromatography (GC)

  • Dissolution Apparatus

  • Other pharmaceutical analytical instruments

  • Analytical method development and validation

  • Impurity profiling and degradation studies

  • Stability-indicating method development

  • Regulatory guidelines, including ICH Q2, USP, EP and JP

  • Chromatographic software such as:

    • Empower

    • Chromeleon

    • OpenLab
