Company Overview

Fortrea is a global contract research organization (CRO) supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with clinical development services. Its Clinical Costing Team is part of the Enterprise Client Solutions function and develops clinical, monitoring, and resourcing strategies for late-stage client requests for proposals.

The team works to ensure that clinical study budget proposals are competitive, operationally sound, and feasible.

Job Role & Responsibilities

The Apprentice will participate in entry-level departmental activities and follow Fortrea and/or sponsor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key responsibilities include:

• Attend training sessions to learn about the drug development process and how clinical research is planned, conducted, and reported.

• Learn the tools and processes used by the Clinical Costing Team to prepare clinical study budgets.

• Support special projects and analytical activities.

• Participate in projects that may provide opportunities to present findings to senior management and support informed decision-making.

• Shadow senior team members to understand their daily activities and the strategies behind clinical research operations.

• Develop knowledge and skills related to clinical research costing and operational processes.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline.

Relevant qualifications include B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, B.Sc. Life Sciences, M.Sc. Life Sciences, B.Sc. Nursing, MBBS, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, or equivalent qualifications aligned with the employer’s stated educational requirements.

Candidates with an Information Technology or informatics background and an interest in clinical research are also welcome to apply.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Clinical research or ICH-GCP certification is preferred.

• Experience delivering projects in an academic setting.

• Good analytical and computing skills.

• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Willingness to explore innovative approaches through collaboration and partnerships.

• Flexibility to work according to business requirements.
