The current openings are part of the project “Surveillance of avian viruses in poultry farm environment in the neighborhood of BRIC-NIAB of Telangana State”, funded through NCBS-TIFR under the guidance of Dr. Madhuri Subbiah.
Job Role & Responsibilities
Project Associate-I (One Position)
- Conduct RNA/DNA isolations, PCR, qPCR, cloning, and cell culture.
- Assist in molecular biology experiments as per project requirements.
- Support the principal investigator in executing the research objectives.
Lab Technician (One Position)
- Perform laboratory tasks including sample preparation and analysis.
- Provide technical support in molecular biology experiments.
- Maintain laboratory records and ensure safe lab practices.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Project Associate-I
- Required Education: Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / B.Pharm / B.E / B.Tech / MBBS or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Salary: ₹37,000 + HRA (with NET or national-level exam qualification) OR ₹30,000 + HRA (without NET).
- Desired Experience: RNA/DNA isolations, PCR, qPCR, cloning, handling cell cultures.
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
Lab Technician
- Required Education: 12th in Science + Diploma + 3 years’ lab experience OR Graduate degree in Science.
- Salary: ₹20,000 (Consolidated).
- Desired Experience: Prior lab experience, preferably in molecular biology.
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
