Job Role & Responsibilities
As an HCC Certified Medical Coder at VLMS Healthcare, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate coding practices that impact patient care and healthcare compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and analyzing medical records to assign correct HCC codes.
- Assigning ICD codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services.
- Ensuring compliance with updated coding regulations and guidelines.
- Auditing medical records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Responding to coding-related queries from clients and healthcare providers.
- Maintaining coding productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
Eligibility / Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Certification: CCS / CRC / CPC (Mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in HCC medical coding.
- Educational Background: Life sciences, healthcare, biotechnology, pharmacy, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding, and CMS guidelines.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
