Pharmacovigilance Associate – ICSR Case Processing
Job Role & Responsibilities
The Pharmacovigilance Associate will support Pharmacovigilance activities involving Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs), safety databases, literature review, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform data entry of ICSRs in the Pharmacovigilance database.
- Enter source data into the database.
- Perform case coding.
- Prepare narratives.
- Generate follow-up letters.
- Perform book-in and triaging of ICSRs.
- Review literature articles and assess them for identifying valid ICSRs, where applicable.
- Perform quality checks of ICSRs in the database, where applicable.
- Support preparation of aggregate reports, where applicable.
- Support signal detection of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) using cases received for client products, where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with project guidelines.
- Execute company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Build and maintain good relationships across functional units and company affiliates.
- Maintain awareness of changes to or new regulations affecting Pharmacovigilance activities.
- Carry out necessary administrative duties required for the role.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
