Formulation Research & Development
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Formulation Development: Develop formulations using a Quality by Design (QbD) approach for ophthalmic, solid, semisolid and liquid dosage forms.
- Literature Research: Conduct literature searches on APIs, patent excipients and formulation development technologies. Review patent searches, patent landscapes, API searches, innovator specifications and literature reports.
- Product Characterization: Perform innovator product characterization and plan formulation strategies by assessing QTPP and CQA.
- Documentation: Maintain laboratory notebooks (LNBs), raw data sheets, analytical reports and data compilations. Interpret results and prepare technical documentation and review reports.
- Laboratory Instrument Calibration: Perform daily, monthly and yearly calibration activities for laboratory instruments.
- Pre-formulation Studies: Plan and execute pre-formulation studies, develop trial batches and conduct stability batches to optimize formulation and manufacturing processes through QbD/DoE-based trials.
- Laboratory Notebook Maintenance: Write and maintain laboratory notebooks according to SOPs and follow GDP and GLP practices.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare product development, technology transfer and Drug Control General of India (DCGI) documents.
