Ambulance Coding – Job Responsibilities
- Work on the US Healthcare Coding Process.
- Handle Ambulance Coding assignments.
- Apply strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes.
- Review complete medical records and identify the correct ICD-10 and procedure codes.
- Ensure selected codes support medical necessity.
- Identify and manage issues related to upcoding and downcoding.
- Apply correct sequencing for ICD-10 and procedure codes.
- Perform required activities on the legacy application and document memos.
- Work with the team to achieve project targets established by project leaders.
- Support project deliverables and take additional responsibility when required.
