Job Role & Responsibilities

As an Associate STEM Content Analyst, you will play a vital role in enriching the CDDI Chemistry database. Your primary tasks include analyzing scientific literature and patents, extracting drug-related data, and ensuring accuracy in chemical representations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze drug-focused journal articles and patents to extract relevant data.
  • Draw and annotate chemical compounds for selected drugs using chemical drawing tools.
  • Interpret complex pharmaceutical and chemical information from diverse scientific sources.
  • Ensure high standards of accuracy and completeness in data curation.
  • Maintain awareness of developments in chemistry, pharmacology, and drug discovery.
  • Meet daily and monthly production and quality targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional teams (India, Spain, and global).
  • Contribute to process improvements and share best practices within the content team.
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Eligibility / Qualifications

Educational Qualifications:

  • M.Sc Chemistry, B.Pharm, or M.Pharm in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, or Pharmacology.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong background in chemistry, pharmacology, and drug development.
  • Proficiency in chemical drawing tools (e.g., ChemDraw or similar software).
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
  • Good understanding of content analysis, data interpretation, and editing.
  • Scientific accuracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to adapt to new digital tools.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of AI-based tools or technologies used in scientific analysis.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in content analysis, publishing, or data curation is a plus.

Location & Salary

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
Work Mode: Hybrid (Office + Remote flexibility)
Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (IST), Monday to Friday
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.

The CDDI Chemistry Team consists of 17 professionals across India and Spain, including Associate Content Editors, Content Editors, and Senior Editors. The team collaborates globally to curate reliable, structured chemical and pharmacological data used by researchers and R&D organizations worldwide.

The department thrives on innovation, teamwork, and attention to detail, providing an excellent environment for professional growth and exposure to global scientific research.
