Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Multispecialty Surgery Coder, your key responsibilities will include:
- Accurately coding multispecialty surgical procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance with CPC, CCS, COC, CRC coding certifications.
- Reviewing patient records and translating medical documentation into appropriate medical codes.
- Supporting billing, claims, and reimbursement processes to ensure timely revenue flow.
- Collaborating with clinical teams to clarify documentation and coding queries.
- Maintaining coding accuracy standards and minimizing denials.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Education: Any Life Science Graduate – BPT, MPT, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc/M.Sc (Nursing, Nutrition, Zoology, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics).
- Certification: CPC, CCS, COC, CRC (mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in multispecialty surgery coding.
Relevant Courses Include: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), Master of Physiotherapy (MPT), B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc/M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc/M.Sc Microbiology, M.Sc Biochemistry, B.Sc Zoology, M.Sc Genetics.
