Job Role & Responsibilities
The Quality Control Microbiology Department plays a critical role in ensuring product safety, sterility, and compliance with regulatory norms. Selected candidates will work in the Microbiology Laboratory at Akums’ Haridwar facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine microbiological analysis of raw materials, water, intermediates, and finished products.
- Perform microbial limit testing, sterility testing, and environmental monitoring.
- Handle culture media preparation, sterilization, and growth promotion tests.
- Maintain accurate records, test reports, and logbooks following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Assist in validation and calibration of microbiological instruments such as autoclaves, laminar airflows, and incubators.
- Participate in internal and external audits, CAPA documentation, and SOP compliance.
This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in microbiology and a passion for ensuring the highest standards of product safety and quality.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- B.Sc Microbiology (or equivalent courses like B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Life Sciences, or M.Sc Microbiology).
Experience:
- Freshers and experienced candidates (up to 3 years) are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skill Set:
- Knowledge of microbial techniques, aseptic handling, and testing procedures.
- Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, and pharmaceutical documentation practices.
- Strong observation, communication, and teamwork skills.
