Job Role & Responsibilities

Analytical Research & Development (AR&D – API)

The AR&D Executive/Sr. Executive will be responsible for analytical method development and validation for API molecules and intermediates.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform method development, validation, and routine analysis using advanced instruments like HPLC, GC, LC-MS, and GC-MS.
Ensure all analytical work aligns with regulatory guidelines such as USP, EP, IP, WHO, Brazil, and China pharmacopeia standards.
Prepare, maintain, and review analytical documentation according to cGMP and GLP.
Investigate deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and ensure timely CAPA implementation.
Support process development teams by providing analytical insights during scale-up and technology transfer.
Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments.

Research & Development (R&D – API)

R&D professionals at Sekhmet Pharmaventures play a vital role in the synthesis and optimization of API processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and perform chemical reactions and experiments as per SOPs and supervisor guidance.
Monitor reaction parameters, yield, and purity levels with precision and documentation.
Perform stoichiometric calculations, mole ratio analysis, and reaction kinetics evaluations.
Support process optimization, scale-up trials, and technology transfer activities.
Maintain detailed documentation in laboratory notebooks and ensure data integrity.
Follow EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols during all lab activities.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Qualification: M.Sc in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry from a recognized university.
Experience:
- Executive: 2–4 years in API AR&D/R&D.
- Senior Executive: 6–8 years in API AR&D/R&D.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in HPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, and analytical documentation.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (USP, EP, IP, WHO, Brazil, China).
- Strong understanding of reaction chemistry and method validation.
- Excellent problem-solving and data interpretation abilities.
Preferred Background: Candidates with prior experience in API manufacturing or R&D from reputed pharmaceutical firms will be prioritized.
