Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Safety & PV Trainee, you will be responsible for supporting pharmacovigilance activities and ensuring compliance with global safety regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Entering and tracking Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in PVG quality and tracking systems.
- Assisting in processing ICSRs according to SOPs and project-specific safety plans.
- Evaluating ICSR data for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory reportability.
- Coding adverse events, medical history, concomitant medications, and laboratory tests.
- Compiling comprehensive narrative summaries and identifying queries for resolution.
- Supporting timely reporting of expedited reports in line with regulatory requirements.
- Performing literature screening and drug coding, maintaining drug dictionaries, and MedDRA coding.
- Managing duplicate ICSRs and validation/submission of xEVMPD product records.
- Participating in audits and maintaining compliance with SOPs, GCP, ICH guidelines, and GVP regulations.
- Collaborating professionally with internal and external project teams.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Educational Background: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related courses.
- Experience: Freshers are welcome; relevant internship or project experience in pharmacovigilance is an advantage.
- Skills Required:
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance principles and clinical research.
- Familiarity with ICSR processing, MedDRA coding, and safety databases.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
